Aaron McCargo Jr., was the winner of Season 4 on the Food Network's show The Next Food Network Star.

Aaron's Bio

Chef Aaron McCargo Jr was born and raised in Camden, NJ. He attended Pyne Poynt Middle School where he first studied cooking and honed his skills for 4 years in Camden High School graduating in 1989. Aaron then attended the Academy of Culinary Arts in Atlantic Cape Community College for one year prior to starting his professional cooking career.

Chef Aaron is currently a TV celebrity chef hosting his own show, Big Daddy’s House on Food Network. Aaron recently won Season Four of The Next Food Network Star reality series on Food Network, which smashed all Food Network TV ratings records 1. Big Daddy’s House has also enjoyed phenomenal ratings 2 and has been renewed for 13 more episodes with an air date starting January 2009.

Chef’s spectacular success in Food TV has been driven by his creative culinary insights and a stellar ability to conceive of bold & original flavors and recipes. An extensive culinary and kitchen management record complements an infectious charisma to form one of the brightest budding careers of any celebrity chef in America.

Significant experience in high volume kitchens across a variety of regional restaurants and institutions from sous chef to Executive chef. Expert in all aspects of restaurant operations including menu development, staff management, staff training, product ordering, food production and restaurant operations optimization.
